Hands down the best bbq I’ve had in San Diego. Not even close. The owners are super nice. The baby back ribs, hot link, collard greens and baked beans were fantastic. Loved it and can’t wait to come back again!

God bless this place!! The food is amazing!! Meat is cooked perfectly, they have the best everything (BBQ sauce,corn bread,greens,Mac&cheese). Friendly and welcoming service too! Our new favorite place to eat!😊 2 meat samplers, Plate 1:(tri tip, hot links and chicken. Plate 2: (Tri tip, brisket, and pork)1

Had the brisket sandwich, much better than the rib ends. The food here is not really anything to write home about . Parking is also hard to find. The rib tips was mostly bones with fat on them

Me and my fiance are in San Diego on vacation. We are from Cleveland, OH. He wanted some real BBQ so we found this little gem. The ribs were so tender and juicy and the sauce was on point - sweet with a little tang. But let me tell you about the cornbread OMG!! Its so moist and melts in your mouth!! The greens are good. The atmosphere is awesome and the customer service top notch!! When we come back which we are this will definitely be on our list of places to visit again.

Was watching a local YouTuber and they recommended this place, and I'm so glad we went here to try it out. It was DELICIOUS! Ordered the sampler platter with brisket, ribs, and sausage with sides of mac n cheese and coleslaw. Everything was delicious!! The coleslaw had a spice to it that was so good. Mac n cheese was on point. The ribs were nice and tender. Friendly staff and loved the vibes, very chill. The sampler platter was perfect to share between 2 people.

Out skirts of the city. Very good BBQ flavor. Collard Greens are outstanding. It's worth the Uber ride to experience authentic BBQ!

I visited Bowlegged BBQ while traveling in San Diego for a conference. What an amazing experience!! The food is amazing! They serve, by far, the best ribs I have ever had. The people are great and so is the atmosphere. I recommend eating your meal there in their outdoor eating area. It’s like being at backyard barbecue. They are kind and welcoming and make you fell at home. Overall an amazing experience with amazing food. I highly recommend it and I will be going back the next time I am in town.

Holy Grail! This place is AMAZING. The food and atmosphere are equally delicious. Don’t let the exterior stop you. Once you enter, you’ll understand. The bbq is off the chains. The mac, baked beans, collard green, coleslaw, ribs, brisket, and cornbread are EPIC. My new go-to. Bbq in SD? Apparently, YES.
